INDWE signs with Sheer Publishing Africa

Blue Crane Records-Publishers and Sheer Publishing Africa have confirmed the signing of an administration deal for Afro-folklore/Jazz writer, composer and singer INDWE.

Now managed by music production management agency The Moon Rises Productions and published by Blue Crane Records-Publishers, INDWE is working on her second studio album in Johannesburg, South Africa. Currently untitled, the project looks to get together some of the countries' polished producers and musicians in collaboration with INDWE. The upcoming album is themed around African choral music and sol-fa historiography that laid foundation for classical African musical compositions, it is fitting that INDWEs' grandmother in non other than Eleanor Xiniwe, one of the pioneers of the African Choir that toured London in 1892.The production is also looking at collaborations with Sheer Publishing linked musicians in Ghana. Seidu Iddrisu, senior copyright administrator at Sheer was pivotal in securing this deal. ''We are looking forward to a fruitful relationship with INDWE'', he added.

This new development in INDWEs' professional career comes at a time when the music industry landscape is evolving, with the experience of and effect of the pandemic lockdowns and the limitation of music performance prospects. She has now established her own 100% black woman owned recording and publishing label Blue Crane Records-Publishers, and partnered with TMR Productions to handle all music production & management services. ''It gives me great joy to be embarking on this journey with INDWE, and also contributing to Sheer Publishing Africas' mission to become the first pan-African world class music publishing company'', commented Sibusiso Mnyanda Executive Director of TMR Productions and INDWEs' Manager.

The softly spoken musician with powerful vocals had this to say, ''This new project will be for Africa. Thanks to Sheer, this is happening''.
